Well, the best I found when doing mine was to use the actual ROM... the ROM
uses far more commands than just about any program out there... My emulator
didn't work for a long time because of problems with the RST $38 and DAA
command, both of which are a bit unlikely to occur in regular programs, but
caused serious problems trying to run the ROM. As for brute force testing
commands on your own, you can run simple test programs on your emulator by
going into the TI-86 emulation, writing a small program jumping to a routine
which displays a number if correct, and not jumping if incorrect. This is a
pretty good way to test them.
