No, TI doesn't! You obviously skipped over the documents. TI says that
it is banned on the ACT.
The TI-89 is worth it. It's pathetic that you ahve become dependant
upon a calculator for a simple test! How do you think it was when no
calculators were allowed? I took the ACT one year before calculators
were allowed, and my with-calculator score was only slightly higher.
(And that's just because I learned more math over the time period
between tests.) Plus, the monitors (I forgot what the name is) for the
ACT test just checked to see whether you calculator had a QWERTY
keyboard or not. If you really wanted to cheat, you could use a little
paint, a new case, or just keep the calc in your pocket until it's
time to use it.
I found a scientific calculator to be more than adequate for the ACT.
