     Obviously, I can't check whether or not I made any typos in the
program.  I've done some additional testing and rewriting.  I've
simplified the program to ask for information.  Previously, I converted
Y1 to str1 and parsed it for the information I wanted.

     Everything is working fine.  No more stange displays.  No more
clearing of memory.  Are there any known bugs regarding an 83's string
handling capabilities?  Is it possible that I referenced memory beyond
the data and triggered something?
