Problem with ZCal! (All versions, I think)
Hello all. I recently downloaded ZCal off the web and put it on my
83. It works great, and I LOVE the visual interface, but I think that
there is something wrong with one of the algorithms that calculates leap
years.
I did some research on leap years last year for my math class, and
I found that: every four years is a leap year (most of us know that),
UNLESS the year is evenly divisible by 100. I believe the author
remembered to put that in, BUT... if the year is ALSO evenly divisible by
400, then it IS a leap year. For example, 1900, 1800, and 1700 were NOT
leap years, but 1600, 1200, 2000, etc... ARE leap years. I knew there was
something funny when I checked my birthday and it wasn't a Friday :) I'm
pretty sure (although not certain) that this bug exists on the other
platforms. Can anyone else back me up on this, so I know I'm not saying
all of this for nothing? I'm pretty certain there's a problem here.
Thanks a lot!
