No program needed. Try this.
Suppose you want to solve :   x^3+x=18


For the TI-85/86

Step 1.  Define
G=x^3+x=18
ENTER
F=x-G/der1(x,x,x)
ENTER

Step 2. Guess the x0, suppose 2.
2->x
ENTER

Step 3.  Calculate the next iterates.
F->x
ENTER
ENTER
ENTER
.......

(  ->   is the  [STO->]  key.)
