I think it is what Windows CE should have been.
As long as you can remember the programming commands, you no longer have
to menu dive while programming.  I don't realy use the text editor as a
word processor, but I do use it whenever I would normally write a note
down on a scrap of paper that I would lose.   It's like having the '82
mated with a palmtop for 25% the price.
(Q:But what would the children look like? A: The '92.  Sorry, bad joke)
