qwerty
Maybe I'm missing something, but I've seen alot of emails referring to
the qwerty keypad on the TI-92 as being something generally "BAD". For
the life of me I can't understand why. I find it very useful when
programming, entering long equations and typing in the text editor(yes I
actually use this application for lab reports in physics).
Three reasons why I like it:
1)Everyone is used to this style on the computer
2)You don't have to spend seconds searching for 1 letter like on the
8x's
3)I've got big hands and can still type atleast 3/4 the pace I would
on a normal computer keypad.
As for those who say it's a nuisance to hold the calculator with 2
hands, well.. I don't think the calculator was built for just
calculating things on the spur of the moment. I think when you use this
calculator it should be on a desk because you have the intention of
using it for a long period of time. You don't see people breaking out
there laptops when they need to multiply a couple of numbers, the same
should be applied when you use the 92. It's more than just a calculator
and should be treated that way, I think.
Now don't anybody start an argument over this stuff.. I'm just making a
point. Let's all get along.
