Have you forgotten the cost of doing so?  I have an IR port on my comp, so
it would be nice to have a less wire ridden area and use the IR port
instead.  The only thing is, the cost far outwieghs the benefit of doing
so.  Hey, if you can find a cheap way of doing it go right, please show me =)

BTW, if anyone has the thought, "What about those cheap remotes?", like one
person asked me, remember, it only goes one way, and the point of a link is
bidirectional transfer =).
