In my situation (I am a high-school senior) getting a TI-92 was not at
all silly. In fact, it was the best $200 I ever spent. The ability
to symbolically evaluate integrals and derivatives is incredibly
useful once you start calculus, if you haven't already. The screen is
larger and quite a bit better resolution. With the graph-link
attatchment, I can take lab data saved in a TI-92 spreadsheet and send
it over to my computer spreadsheet to make graphs. Or, I can just
make the graphs on the 92 and print them out. Don't get me wrong, the
92 isn't for everyone. But if you love math and/or science and
especially like incorporating computers/calculators into those fields,
you can't go wrong with the TI-92.
