The only problem is that this would add cost ($30 - $40) and it
add to the development time, because the board would have to
go through quality assurance again. The additional cost would
seriously jeopardize its position in the marketplace.

WHY IT COULDN'T BE 68030, 68040 OR 68060 ????????
The calculator would be VERY better !!! Because it seems
to be exactly the same as the TI92 with the Plus Module.
It would be a REAL dream to use a better processor.
(and will the Plus Module be released, even if there is
such a TI89 ?)
