Hmm... let's think.  Perhaps it has something to do with
the deal many years before AOL considered acquiring
Netscape that AOL made with Microsoft in order to get
an AOL icon on the fresh-installed Win95 desktop.  And
threats from Microsoft to remove that icon if AOL tried
to integrate Netscape.
