Yes. To support 56k users, we have to have a digital line hooked up to our access box. We can hook up any type of connection. On our end, it matters not whether the user is ISDN, 56k, 33.6, 28.8, etc, it all uses one B channel of the T1, for a total of 16. Though the first and last are T/R IIRC. Anyhow, that is why you can get 56k download, but since you aren't digital, your upload will be limited to 33.6.

how could you achieve above 33.6kbps computer to computer anyway? isn't there some kind of special wire on the isp's side that allows for 56k? (or 53k)
