I was wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea for programs to release 
useful routines (such as this one) that they've come up with. This has 
already been done with NASR and rob's greyscale stuff, as well as some 
others. I think that this could be done a lot more, plus it would allow 
other people to improve certain routines without the need to release the 
entire source. Just an idea.
