[A83] $5 link cable problem!

I always had no problems working with my linkcable, with the software CAL.  
But now it had stopped working. The Link Cable Test is succesfull. But I 
can't send or receive files anymore. Has this anything to do with the 
resistors? Do you have to change those every 4 months or so?
