A83: Re: Really Messed up 83+




Here's what to do (straight from B-5 in the ti-83p manual.)

Remove on battery from the calculator and then press and hold the del key
while reinstalling the battery.  This will force the calculator to accept a
download of system software.

if that doesn't work:

remove one battery from the calculator and then press and hold down the
clear key while reinstalling the battery.  while continuing to hold down the
clear key, press and hold down the on key.  when the home screen is
displayed, release the keys.

if you get the calc actually working, you must reset ALL MEMORY.  I had the
same problem, and the second solution worked.  I just needed to reset all
memory, including the archive.

Good luck.  If you do get it working, download  some programs from my
website.
