Run-around MirageOS Password. ================= By: Patrick Stone Suicidal Psycho Software http://www.geocities.com/suipsysof/ E-mail1: SuiPsySof@yahoo.com E-mail2: Defenestrator85@aol.com ================================ 1. The easiest way to get rid of the MirageOS password is press [2nd], [+], [2], [ALPHA], [APPS], find MirageOS (it is just the APPVAR) and delete it. (All you are doing is going into the memory menu and deleting the APPVAR called MirageOS) ============================================================================================ 2. If the memory menu is blocked, simply make sure all programs(and important info) are achived, and pull out one of the batteries while the calculator is on (preferably at the MirageOS password prompt). This should reset the RAM allowing you to access the memory menu.(Warning: This will probably reset your RAM!) However, if it does not, do this: Here is the trick no other current documents contain: Warning: This will reset your RAM! If this does not reset the RAM, take out one of the batteries. Hold down [ON] and [DELETE] at the same time and put the battery back in. Now, press ON and the RAM will be deleted. ============================================================================================ 3. If for some strange reason none of this works or you are too confused, just send your MirageOS appvar to the other calc you are trying to get into. When you start MirageOS, it will be your password on their calc. ============================================================================================ I wrote this because the documents currently released contain inadequate information. Also, none contain the special trick that will definitely reset your RAM. ============================================================================================ I have been using these tricks for years now and have had no problems. However, if something should go wrong with your calculator, I cannot be responsible. ============================================================================================ This is information, it does not belong to me in any way, it belongs to the TI-community. You may expand upon it as necessary, however, I do ask that you do not copy everything and put your name on it. If you feel so obliged, give me credit for what you did not already know. Thank you. ============================================================================================
