2. How to use Trig Func V2.0

Trig Func V2 is a fairly simple to use program, and you should have no problem getting it to work well for you. But I have put together a quick tutorial outlining the usage of the main sections of the program.

3.1 Getting Started

If you set up the quick launch feature (in the installation page) then you can launch the program by pressing the green diamond key then the number you selected before (between 1 and 9).
If you did not set up quick launch then type trig/trig() at the home screen to start the program.

3.2 The Solve Triangle Menu

Press "f1" to get to the solve triangle menu, there you will see three choices.

  • with ad, op.
  • with ad, hy.
  • with op, hy.
These options refer to the sides of the triangle you are trying to solve. "Ad" is the adjacent side to a selected angle, "Op" is the oposite side to the same selected angle, and "Hy" is the side oposite the right angle.
Simply enter in the two sides of the triangle that you have and the program will find the remaining side, and display the values of all six trigonometric functions.

3.3 The Identities Menu

The Identities Menu is equally simple. You will be asked to either enter the value of both A and B or just A (depending on the identity) then the program will display the Identity it used and the result.
