For those of you that downloaded (and enjoyed) the original BattleTower, this game is for you. Featuring 4 more levels, auto archiving/unarchiving, faster loading, new items, cheat codes, and several other features, this game has a better feel to it than the original.
What is BattleTowerSE?
BattleTower is a visual RPG game, and BattleTowerSE is the special edition of BattleTower.
What can i do in BattleTowerSE?
BattleTowerSE supports: moving, saving, loading, fighting, cheating, etc. Multiplayer duels may be added into a future update, but only if i get a request...
How do i play?
The Tiles, and what they mean
i will leave it to you to figure out what some of the tiles mean, but i will explain the important ones.
Plus sign tiles represent health.
the "s+" represents a strength bonus
the "E!" represents an enemy. please note that enemies do not move, and there is no AI.
the "$" sign represents money, which can be picked up for a random amount of money.
the funny looking tile that looks like a shield is the store.
the square floppy disk tile is a load/save point.
Known issues:
- for some reason, if you beat the last level, it attempts to load a non-existant 11th level, and fails, giving you an ERR:UNDEFINED. if you beat the game, and wish to continue playing, simply type in 0->Z, press enter, and run the game again.
- if you attempt to run program (theta)CHEAT before you play the game, it will tell you it is frying your calc and then turn it off... this WILL NOT damage your calc, it is merely a joke. You will also note that program (theta)CHEAT is locked, please do not unlock it, it is locked for a reason. if you want a cheat code, just ask me, i will gladly reveal the list to you, or even make you a custom one. The current cheats can move you, increase your stats, etc.
- Sometimes the game will load to a blank screen, and I dont know why. This can be solved by setting Z to 0 (0->Z), and running the program again. you can simply load your previous game from any load/save point.
Stuff fixed and added from BattleTower1.0:
1. combat glitch allowing negative HP fixed.
2. Shaved almost 1/3 off the loading time, thanks to Brainiac... i had no idea that Delvar [A] could be so powerful :)
3. Added in Save/Load points, modified it so you dont start over everytime you run the program
4. added in 4 more levels, for a grand total of 10
5. added auto-archive/unarchive
6. Updated the graphics... there is a slight flicker now, but nothing major...
7. set up a framework for the Magic stat, (due out next week?)
