To run Hearts-83, go to program HEARTS83 (or for the TI-83+, HEART83P) from the homescreen.  It will show a startup screen, then create, shuffle, and deal the deck.  While this is going on, decide which of you will be players 1 through 4.  The player with the 2 of clubs will start.  The V (arrow G) is above the player that is supposed to go. Use the arrow keys to move the selector (a V, arrow D in the picture.)  You must start out with the 2 of clubs.  Note that the selector turns into an X if you move the cursor over a card that you can't play.  Press the [2nd] key to select the card.  Press clear to quit.  It will put the player number that played the card (arrow A in the picture) and the suit and card (arrows B and C, respectively).  In case you can't figure it out by yourself, C stands for clubs, S stands for spades, H stands for hearts, and D stands for diamonds.  For the card numbers, T stands for ten, J is jack, Q is queen, K is king, and A is ace. Your cards are shown at E and F, E being the suits and F being the numbers.

The points are shown at H, underneath the player who has them.

After a round, the point screen is shown.  It is in the following format:

(Points from this round) (Points in game)
(Player 1)
(Player 1)
(Player 1)
(Player 1)
(This round number)/(total rounds to play)
