Solitaire A BASIC game for the TI-89 Programmed by Matthew Moore(moore_than_ever@hotmail.com) Released 4/19/00 File Size: 6880 bytes Zip Contents: Solitare group: -by_mm99 99 bytes (my logo) -cursor 14 bytes (cursor pic) -empty 14 bytes (empty square pic) -grid 511 bytes (the Solitaire board pic) -hiname 14 bytes (hiscore string) -hiscore 5 bytes (hiscore expression) -jumper 966 bytes (the jumping program) -pixel1 10 bytes (just a time cushion) -solipic 697 bytes (instructional pic) -solitare 4247 bytes (the main program) -stone 14 bytes (stone pic) This Documentation 1 bitmap picture of my Solitaire program running... =) All of these programs may be archived without any effects on the performance of the program, except it might run a little slower (almost negligible difference). 'Hiname' and 'Hiscore' are automatically archived and unarchived by the program, and it is advised that you allow them to stay that way. If you understand even a little bit about the 89, you can alter the contents of these files to change the high scores, but how much fun is that? =) It is much more rewarding if you actually get a high score and not just change the file. How to Play If you want to learn how to play, then hit 'Object' from the opening toolbar inside the program. The keys that perform some function are printed right there on screen as you play. If you try to perform an illegal move, a text box will pop up and point out your error. If you press 'Enter' or 'Clear' to select a stone, then decide you want to move a different one, YOU MUST HIT 'MODE' to cancel the jump. Otherwise, the program will keep telling you that you can't jump there or whatever. About the Game I wish I could call this game my own... I programmed it for the 89, but the original game came from Klutz's 'The Book of Classic Board Games.' I programmed the game last year, and earlier this year I re-vamped it to make it smaller, faster, slicker, and easier to use. Just now I have decided to release it onto the Internet. Ummm, that should be all you need to know. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY HARM DONE TO YOUR CALC! As far as I can tell, this program has no bugs or anything. However, if you find one that I have missed (I have been using it for about 6 months now and have fixed all I found, so there shouldn't be many if any left), please e-mail me at 'moore_than_ever@hotmail.com'. Thanks. There are no planned updates for Solitaire. It is complete right now. COMMENTS? SUGGESTIONS? Feel free to e-mail me. >>>moore_than_ever@hotmail.com<<< Matthew Moore M&M Programming.
