Name: Home Work Organiser v. 2.0 Author: Ignat Drozdov E-Mail: ignat85@yahoo.com ================================= Special Thanks to BLAlien and Robert Mohr that helped to correct the known bugs in the program I. Installation ================ To install the electronic organiser on your calculator follow these steps: 1. Send group file "homew" to your calculator. It should automatically create a folder "HOMEW" on the calculator. 2. From the select program named "install" and run it. This program creates default classes and a matrix where you will store your home work . 3. "install" will automatically run the main program, but if you already ran "install" and don’twant your homework and classes erased, run "homew". II. About ========== HomeW is yet another update of my program that is a complex, yet user friendly organiser. This version, which I consider to be the final one unless you want me to improve on something, is a remake of the entire system. Now the program instead of storing the assignments as strings in the current folder, will record the data in the matrix called "classes". This way the user can delete assignments easy way from the program interface itself. III. Using the HomeW v. 2.0 ============================= After you started the program, you will be taken to the main screen. On the screen you will be asked to selected either "Edit Class", "View Calendar", "Edit Calendar", "Delete", "Delete All", or "Exit." Edit Class: You will be taken to the screen where the program will ask you if you want to continue. If you press "Yes", the calculator will ask you to input eight new classes. If you don't have eight subjects, the space will be filled with "Nothing." View Calendar: Move the cursor around the days and select the slot that indicates a date for which the homework is stored. After you do that, the program will ask you how you want to view your data: "Class" or "List". By selecting "Class", it will display homework for that particular day and class. By selecting "List", it will display homework for every subject in that particular day. Edit Calendar: Move the cursor around the days and select the slot that indicates a date for which you want to store your home work. Delete All: Select this if you want to clear all your subjects and homework. Exit: Why don't you figure this one out :) Deleting variables: To delete variables, you just have to select that option from the main menu and you will see a calendar similar to that that I used in viewing and editing programs. You can run around the screen to select a date for which you want to delete assignment. After that, you will be asked to choose class. Select subject for which you want to delete homework. If there is nothing to delete, the program will announce that, otherwise in the matter of milliseconds, the data will be erased. IV. Known bugs: ================ Unfortunately there is only on bug that remains. If you. while editing of viewing calendar press "enter" on an empty slot, the calculator will return error. If anybody knows how to fix that, please email me. V. Later updates: ================== I don't think that I will update homew any more. A far as I'm concerned the main engine is done and it is up to you to add to it whatever you want as long as you give me some credit :) If you want to modify the program for your custom needs, write me at ignat85@yahoo.com VI. Future projects: ===================== 1. Right now I am working on a game called clines. The object of the game is to collect the balls that are different "colour" and line them up vertically or horizontally. The balls appear randomly and it should be a very addictive game. 2. The second project holds a lot of hopes in itself. I just finished reading Frank Herbert's series on DUNE (if anyone hasn't read it, it is highly recommendable. Great books). And right now I am starting to develop some ideas that would reflect in the future game based on DUNE series. Obviously it is going to be a RPG (Role Playing Game). You, Paul will have travel on the Dune in search of fortune and revenge for the death of your father. You will become Fremen leader and will bring paradise to Dune. Well that's enough of the story, read DUNE. I will need some help with graphics, because I am planning for it to be the Best BASIC RPG available in TI community. If you are a talented TI-89 artist send me an email. VII. Thanks to: ============== Great thanks goes to my mom and my dad, who despite all the time that I spend with a calculator still deal with me. Brandon Levan who was the first to ask me to write a program for him that could organise his homework. He was the one who started the waive of homew's :) P.S. ===== If you have any comments or suggestions email me at ignat85@yahoo.com Let me know what you think about homew. Thanks for downloading my program. If you want to modify it, you are welcome to do it as long as you give me a partial credit.
