I did this by recording my own cd's and then using Andrew Waser's 86wav which is a port of Andreas Ess's PlayWAV for the TI-85. The sound is a little fuzzy and has some static, but what can you expect from a calculator. The basic program just calls the other assembly programs in sequence. This is done because the TI-86's maximum assembly program size is approximately 10K. How do I run it? --------------- To run this program simply send the program group to your calculator. Then enter a shell like Aurora Shell Enhanced (ASE) or Rascall to run the basic program. The program will take a few seconds extra to start the first time. Store the remaining programs which are assembly in some off folder or in the hidden folder if you use Rascall. All you need to use to run it is the basic. How do I hear it? ---------------- Go to Radio Shack and buy a headphone adapter that adapts 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo mini plug to fit 3/32" (2.5mm) stereo submini jack (Radio Shack Cat. No. 247-373A). This adapter works for my calculator. To make sure to get the correct adapter I recommend taking your link cable with you when you go to make your purchase. Plug the adapter into your calculator and your headphones into the adapter. You now have sound on your calculator. Only have the adapter in your calculator when in a shell. Otherwise the calculator will freeze up because it is looking to receive a message. If this happens, just remove the adapter and wait a couple of seconds.
