Included in this Zip file: 1. GuessIt game (GUESSIT.8xp) (v2.6). 2. GuessIt Readme (v1.1). Update History: GuessIt game: v2.5 (1841 bytes): First uploaded version. v2.6 (1620 bytes): Saves 221 bytes in storage space without changing any important functions of the program. Fixes a small glitch where 4th and 5th guessed digits (in hard mode) could be equal. Includes a few small changes in wording and punctuation (mainly to save space). (Records of earlier updates are not available.) Readme file: v1.0 (size unknown): Original version. v1.1 (2605 bytes): Lists included files, known bugs, and update history. Updates file according to new game file. Known Bugs and Glitches: 1. One small glitch allows players to guess digits that are not within the limits (the integers 1 through 9) of the actual digits. This could be manipulated as a strategy, but it does not greatly affect game play. To play GuessIt (V2.6): 1. First download the GuessIt program (GUESSIT.8xp) to your calculator. 2. Once you have downloaded the program, open it (GUESSIT, under PRGM). 3. If you are unsure how to play, read the rules (included in the game). 4. The default low scores for easy, medium, and hard modes are all 10000. There are two ways you could customize this: a. When you get a new low score for a certain mode, be sure to change it when you are done playing, because it will not change permanently. To do so, go to PRGM and edit the GUESSIT program. The first three lines say "10^(4->S," "10^(4->U," and "10^(4->V." Change the 10^(4 value: in the first line if your new score was in easy mode, in the second line if your new score was in medium mode, or in the third line if your new score was in hard mode. b. Another way to customize the low score list is to have it set automatically when you get a new low score. To do this, go to PRGM and edit the GUESSIT program. The first three lines say "10^(4->S," "10^(4->U," and "10^(4->V." Erase all three lines. NOTE: I did not design the program this way because often, for school or for other games, you may have to change variables such as S, U, and V. If you ever change or erase S, U, and/or V, this will likewise change or erase the corresponding saved low score(s)! Only use this option if you do not intend to ever need the S, U, or V variable for school or for another program. 5. Finally, be sure to check regularly for updates. As of right now, I am considering the following update: a. I soon plan to fix the glitch described above.
