Program: PITCH Author: Dave Gaebler February 17, 1999 Variables used:H,N,O This program converts musical notes to frequencies in Hertz and vice versa. Notes are entered as numbers. C=0, C sharp=1, D=2, E flat=3, etc. You also enter the octave. Middle C is the first note in octave 0. The highest C on the piano is the first note in octave 4. The lowest A and the piano is in octave -4. If you enter a Hertz frequency, the note will probably be a decimal like 0.6413. This tells you that it's between 0 and 1 (C and C sharp) and which one it's closer to.
