Program: Lenz

    This program can be used for mirrors and thin lenses.  It will solve
the mirror equation, find the magnification, and also solve the lens 
maker’s equation.  Great for physics!  These equations aren’t very hard 
to solve, but they are pretty annoying.  That’s why I wrote this program.

    To use, just select which variables you have from the menu.  NOTE: in
this program P is the distance to the object and Q is the distance to the 
image.  Remember to put minus signs where needed when you enter your 
values or you won’t get the correct answer!


Here are the equations used:

1/P + 1/Q = 1/F

(N-1)(1/R1 - 1/R2) = 1/F
