Do not attempt to use it on a TI-83 Plus. It will not work because the TI-83 Plus was redesigned to execute assembly by use of the Asm(xxxxxxxx command, not Send(9prgmxxxxxxxx, which is used in Windows 98. > Description I tried out Windows 95 for the TI-83. To me, it looked very messy and was not professional looking. Also, two supposed applets that were listed in a window was not included. The file did not have any documentation at all. So I decided to myself that I would redesign a new Windows, and call it Windows 98 for the TI-83. The new Windows 98 has all the pictures redrawn, and the whole program was rewritten from scratch. If you compare my Windows 98 to the Windows 95 for TI-83, you will like mine much better. > Features - Neat/clean menu and windows - Password Protection - 4 Games - My Planner 2000 v2.71 for TI-83 - Standby mode > Zipped Files Included Win98.83g - Windows 98 v1.01 Win98.txt - This documentation that you are reading. Planner 2000 v2.71.txt - Documentation for Planner 2000 v2.71. > Hardware Requirements A TI-83 or TI-83 Plus A TI-Graph Link or equivalent (recommended, it's not fun typing in the commands yourself, you will most likely make a mistake, trust me) > Memory Requirements You will need about 20000 bytes free for Windows 98, plus some more memory to operate it. > Installation Send Win98.83g to your TI-83. To send to your calculator using the Graph-Link software, select [Link|Send] for the TI-83. Run prgmWIN98 to start Windows 98. > Keys Used in Windows 98 [2nd] - Bring up Start Menu/Choose [Up/Down] - Move up/down in menus [Clear] - Closes a menu/window > Password 3.5 The password is not set up. To set up your own password, goto Start, Programs, Password 3.5, and press 2nd. The TI-83 will power off. Press On and when prompted for a Password, press Enter, and then set up your new password. After you are done, choose 1. Start TI-83 and you will automatically return to Windows 98. > Planner 2000 v2.71 for TI-83 Please see Planner 2000 v2.71.txt for directions on how to operate Planner 2000. > History Version 1.01 <> 01/10/2000 Size: Whatever, you need about 20000 bytes anyways, right? - Updated to include Planner 2000 v2.71 Version 1.00 <> 01/04/2000 Size: 18156 bytes - First Release THIS PROGRAM MAY NOT BE CLAIMED IN ANY WAY BY ANYONE ELSE, IN PARTS OR WHOLE. YOU MAY, HOWEVER, CREATE YOUR OWN WINDOWS PROGRAM, PROVIDED THAT YOU DON'T USE ANYTHING I CREATED WITHOUT MY CONSENT, THE PICTURES, PLANNER 2000, OR THE WINDOWS 98 PROGRAM ITSELF. THE GAMES AND PASSWORD PROGRAM HOWEVER, ARE FREE TO USE, SINCE I DIDN'T MAKE THEM. THANK YOU. Email: pikachu-83@juno.com AIM/YPager/ICQ: jtngo83
