* * * * * * * * * * LCHAT v1.0 * * by Chip Zero * * * * * * * * * * Program description =================== This is my latest Chat Program, LChat. It's a very small program that allows two people with two Ti-Calcs to send text to each other through the link cable. Infra-Red links are, of course, also supported. System requirements =================== * Two TI-83's with one link cable or IR-link * Less than 500 bytes of space * Vars: String7, String8, R How 2 use this program ====================== Just plug in the link cable, start LChat on both calculators and you're ready to go. One will be in receive mode and the other will be in transmit mode. If you're in transmit mode, you can send a text message to the other or send "Q" to quit or "R" to enter receive mode. Entering "Q" results in both calculators quitting the program. I enter "R" for receive mode, the other will be notified that you're in receive mode and will be able to send messages by pressing Enter. Know bugs ========= If you both send messages the same time, the result will be inpredictable. Solution: Just don't do that :) Disclaimer ========== You run this program at your own risk. You trust the data on your calculator to the program and such data loss arising from use of the program (not that should corrupts data in any way) will not be my fault. Any questions/comments? ======================= So, if you have any questions or bugs concerning LChat, you can mail me at: chipzero@thenavy.com C/0
