<---------------------------------> / Convert v1.0 -- Big J programming \ \ By Erik Ware, 03/12/2003 / <---------------------------------> I. Intro II. Directions III. Help IV. Extra V. Credits I. INTRODUCTION ------------------------ this program converts binary numbers into decimal numbers and vica verca. It can convert any decimal number between 0 and 65535. and any size of binary number to decimal. This program was created using BASIC therefore it is slower than any assembly conversion program. Feel free to edit this program to pieces. II. DIRECTIONS ------------------------ 1. Send Convert.83p to your TI-83 or TI-83 plus. 2. Execute the CONVERT program on your calc. 3. Choose whether you want convert decimal to binary, binary to decimal or to exit. 4. If you are entering a binary # there are no restrictions to the amount of bits entered, the only restrictions are they have to be 0's or 1's. if you are entering a decimal # you can enter any number from 0-65535. The program will screw up if you enter functions like sin(, cos(, tan(, or non whole #'s like 55.3424, or negative numbers like -5. 5. press enter and wait for the calculator to finish calculating. 6. press enter to get back to the menu and choose whether you want to perform another calculation or to exit. III. HELP ------------------------ if you skrew your calc up it's your own problem IV. EXTRA ------------------------ This program does not leave any variables on your calc after it is done. When you exit the program normally (without breaking the operation) it will delete all strings and variables it has used. This is nice because they take up memory and memory is usually an issue on the TI-83. V. CREDITS ------------------------ By Erik Ware (Big J) Big J programming TI-83
