Base Version .000001 Kevin Chevalier 1/8/2001 Base is a program to help lots of math students not have to do lots of work. It can also be used to help math teachers not have to work out answer keys. It evaluates expressions and converts different bases. Run BASE. Type the base of the expression you are entering. Base can be from 2-18. If you wonder why it can't do base 1, then you really do need this program. If you wonder why it can't do 19+ it is because I am lazy. If you really need bigger, you could alter the code which would be pretty easy. Just let it recognize more letters. If you can't understand my spaghetti logic, e-mail me. I will do it for you. Then you type in the expression. It can do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. No decimals. So if it is a decimal when it is divided it will round down. Sorry. The expression can also be a number. If you type in a expression like "10010+10010" and press enter, it will give you the answer in the base you specified earlier. If you type a number like "435" and press enter, it will ask you for another base. It will convert the number from the first base to the second base. If you have any questions or comments, e-mail me at goodlooker@hotmail.com. If you use it at all that is cool and if you get time just e-mail me. I want to know if I done good. If you hate it. E-mail me. If you want a date and are a girl. E-mail me. If you find errors, tell me. I will give myself a chemical burn for every error you find. I am a 16 year old junior at auburn high school in nebraska. I wrote this because mr wellman told me to. If there is an error, just remember i didn't get paid. He used it to make the key so i think it works. i hope you enjoy not doing bases. kevin
