README.TXT8 @@/ ?8?8 @@@>TEXTttxt<>LC3C3QHey, thanks for downloading my calculator program! Here's a brief description. Charlie's Great Prime Factor Program 3.61 This program serves a simple purpose: It factors a number into its prime factors. When it is done, it lets you scroll through the list. The code is mine, I wrote the original version of it about two years ago on an old scientific calculator, and then copied the code onto my new TI-83, after which I made lots of improvements! Yes, I realize there is another factoring program on the 'Net made by TI, but this one has a nicer interface, (IMHO) and has some nice features TI's doesn't have. First of all, it doesn't just make you sit there and wait for it to finish, it updates the list of factors on the screen as it finds new factors, so you can see what it's doing sort of. The program creates a list variable called lF, and uses variables A, B, and C. However, before it starts it saves the values of variables A, B, and C to another list variable, lV, and when it is done it puts those variables back the way they were(unless an error occurs before it can finish.) When the program is completed, it deletes both list lF and lV, so all the variables should pretty much be the way you had them before you ran the program! Enjoy.
