Step-by-Step Instructions for SEQUENCE SIMON v1.1 (TI-83) by JIM ================================================================ -==*** I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TURN UP THE CONTRAST BEFORE PLAYING ***==- The Main Menu: +----------------+ | SEQUENCE SIMON | -Heading |1:START GAME | -Start the game |2:SET LEVEL | -Sets level of difficulty |3:RANDOM LEVEL | -Randomizes level of difficulty |4:LAST SEQUENCE | -Views last game/sequence |5:LONGEST SEQ | -Views longest game/sequence since start of game session |6:EXIT | -Exits | | +----------------+ SET LEVEL: ---------- The level of difficulty is simply how long the sequence will be when playing. If the level is set to 10, then there will be 10 flashes on the screen in randomized locations, UP, DOWN, LEFT, or RIGHT. This series of flashes is called a sequence, thus Sequence Simon. RANDOM LEVEL: ------------- If you select 'RANDOM LEVEL' the calculator will randomize a level from 8 to 20. This makes gameplay a bit more interesting. START GAME: ----------- When you select 'START GAME', you will see a direction flash on the screen. It will be one of UP, DOWN, LEFT, or RIGHT. After it flashes you have to press that direction on the key pad. The calculator will then flash another direction after it, you must repeat this. For example, if the level is set to 6 it would flash: LEFT LEFT UP LEFT UP UP LEFT UP UP DOWN LEFT UP UP DOWN LEFT LEFT UP UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT You must repeat each of the sequences after another direction is added. When playing, you will find it is a very simple game, which you have probably played before. LAST SEQUENCE: -------------- This replays the last game or sequence played, whether you won or not. LONGEST SEQ: ------------ This replays the longest game or sequence played, since the start of the game session. However, if you quit from Sequence Simon and then start again, the longest sequence will not have been recorded. --===**** END OF HELP ****===-- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
