This help file will help you to use CalcuPlan 2.0. ---Quick Start-------Do NOT Skip this step!-------- After loading CalcuPlan 2.0 on your calculator, choose EDIT at the main menu. When asked for your period number, type 42 (yes, I know that nobody has a period 42, this is a special code recognized by the program which will initialize it to be used.) Once you have done that, you can use CalcuPlan 2.0 without ever having to enter it again. ---Usage and Features------------------------------ CalcuPlan can easily be used on any TI-83. Once you have the program running, you will be prompted with a menu. Here is an explanation: View-View your current homework assignments Edit-Edit or erase new homework assignments Exit-Exit CalcuPlan 2.0 Once you have chosen your option, follow the directions you are prompted for. SPECIAL NOTE (this must be done for CalcuPlan 2.0 to work): After loading CalcuPlan 2.0 on your calculator, choose EDIT at the main menu. When asked for your period number, type 42 (yes, I know that nobody has a period 42, this is a special code recognized by the program which will initialize it to be used.) Once you have done that, you can use CalcuPlan 2.0 without ever having to enter it again. --------------------------------------------------- ---Notes about the EDIT option--------------------- When you choose EDIT from the main menu, you will be asked for a period number. This is the period you want to enter a new homework assignment for. If you want to clear the homework you have stored, there are two ways to do it: 1. Select that period and enter "NONE" 2. Type in 10 as your period number. This will erase all current homework assignments except specialized assignments. (Keep reading) 3. Type in 42 at the period prompt. This erases all current homework including Ok, that's great, but you may be asking what the heck a specialized assignment is. Well, you may want to keep a certain assignment stored for more than one day. When you make a specialized assignment, you place a theta character (that little O with the slash through the middle) at the beginning of the assignment. Specialized assignments are not deleted when you enter 10 at the period prompt. You may want to use this if you have a project or report that is not due for a few days. A FINAL NOTE: The TI-83 is a great calculator for doing math, which is of course what it is supposed to do, however, it has a somewhat limited string storage ability. Since CalcuPlan uses all but one (Str0) of the string variables on your calculator, it is possible that running other programs on your 83 could overwrite your homework. Then again, they may not. --------------------------------------------------- ---Questions and Support--------------------------- If you need help using CalcuPlan 2.0 for the TI-83, you can email Jeremy at JerCom7660@aol.com !Thanks for using CalcuPlan 2.0 for TI-83! ---------------------------------------------------
