They now travel to Castle #7, but before they reach it, they must jump over the half-pipes in Skateboard Park, walk through the dark in Luigi's Mansion, navigate the dense Leafy Forest, watch their footing in the Koopean Fault, and more, ending in a Bowser fight with a twist! If you enjoyed any of the levelsets in this series, write a review! ------------------------------------------------ II INSTALLATION: 1) Have Ion, MirageOS, or CrunchyOS on your calculator. 2) Also have the game Super Mario v1.2 or v2.0. 3) Depending on the Super Mario version that you have, send smland7 v1.2 or smland7 v2.0 to your calculator. If you send the wrong version, you may experience glitches, or areas where you can't continue. 4) Run Super Mario and choose The Super Mario Land VII. ------------------------------------------------ III STORY After searching 6 castles, Peach is still nowhere to be found, so Mario and Luigi must continue their search across the varying terrain. ------------------------------------------------ IV GAME HELP ZONE 1: Skateboard Park Level Type: Hills Watch for all the Goombas in the level, and you'll be fine. There's a Super Mushroom at the beginning. Also note that this is one of the easier levelsets in the series. ZONE 2: Mushroom City Level Type: Nighttime City This is one of the new environments in this levelset. It's pretty dark, so watch out for the faces of Goombas, Koopas, and Paratroopas. Also watch out for Snipers. What's a sniper? It's a koopa shooting bullet bills from inside alleys. Beware the bullets, which are very hard to see. ZONE 3: Luigi's Mansion Level Type: Wooden, Dark Another dark level. There are some lights which make it a bit easier to see, but it's mainly just as dark as Mushroom City. And at the end, just after the Finish Bar, look for an invisible block that will get you over the wall and into an extra life. ZONE 4: Leafy Forest Level Type: Dense Forest This forest is so dense that it's hard to see. The top branches are the safest. Near the end, piranhas will be buried in the ground. Just make sure that you can see them well. ZONE 5: The Koopean Fault Level Type: Earthquake You can clearly tell that an earthquake hit this place. Fallen trees, cracked pipes, split boxes, and separated ground. There are a lot of fireballs in this zone. At the end, you'll see that half of the Finish Bar has also crumbled. ZONE 6: Thwomp Ridge Level Type: Giant Block If you've played The Super Mario Land 2, this zone may remind you of Thwomp Valley. This zone is also much easier, ironically, as tiny Mario, because he can slip right under most Thwomps without having to use the lure-and dash strategy. Some of the puzzles here are luring Thwomps down and jumping over them, luring them into a pit, and going right through them when invincible. ZONE 7: Star Bridge Level Type: Star Platform This is another unique world. Just be careful when jumping to other platforms. In the middle is a giant bridge, and you can jump over the platform above the Finish Bar to pick up some more coins. ZONE 8: Bowser's Castle Level Type: Varying As always, this Bowser's Castle is a review for the other 7 zones. But this one is made up of the other 7 zones. Go through as you did in the respective areas before. Just before Bowser is a koopa shell. If you have some lives to burn, kick it forward, and fight Bowser as the shell goes around destroying blocks. Or you could choose to play it safe and jump over it. Both ways can be done, but you REALLY should try the shell version. ------------------------------------------------ V AFTER YOU'RE DONE: Download the entire series! The Super Mario Land 1 The Super Mario Land 2 The Super Mario Land 3 The Super Mario Land 4 The Super Mario Land 5 The Super Mario Land 6 The Super Mario Land 7 The Super Mario Land 8 ------------------------------------------------ VI FAQ Q: How do I do a high jump? A: Simply hold down 2nd when jumping off of an enemy or music note. Q: There's an area I can't access. Why? A: Almost all areas can be accessed. Some are only small enough for tiny Mario, so beginners will still be able to recover from being shrunk. Q: It won't recognize the level. A: Like all SM levels, try archiving it, or unarchiving it. ------------------------------------------------ VII OTHER INFO I have played this levelset as well, and have beaten it many times, so if questions or comments, e-mail me (my address is at the top).
