(in my opinion) Anyway, I hope you you like it and all that other stuff people usually say in their text files.. blah, blah, blah, blah... this is only a demo so don't wonder why you can't ever beat the game. This program also requires the file MAPRLIB.82P, which is included in the zip file. Just make sure it's on your calc before running SV82. Enjoy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Controls ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Below is a table of keys and their corresponding functions during the execution of Space Vaders 82: While waiting for the Introduction Screen to finish displaying... +----------+---------------------------------+ | Key | Description | +----------+---------------------------------+ ¦ Any Key ¦ Start the game. ¦ ¦ On ¦ Stop execution^. ¦ +----------+---------------------------------+ When viewing the introduction screen... +----------+---------------------------------+ | Key | Description | +----------+---------------------------------+ ¦ Any Key ¦ Start the game. ¦ ¦ On ¦ Stop execution^. ¦ +----------+---------------------------------+ While viewing the difficulty screen... +----------+---------------------------------+ | Key | Description | +----------+---------------------------------+ ¦ 1 ¦ Set the difficulty to extremely ¦ ¦ ¦ hard. ¦ ¦ 2 ¦ Set the difficulty to pretty ¦ ¦ ¦ damn hard. ¦ ¦ 3 ¦ Set the difficulty to fairly ¦ ¦ ¦ hard. ¦ ¦ 4-9 ¦ Oh you get the picture, 1 is the¦ ¦ ¦ hardest and 9 is the easiest. ¦ ¦ On ¦ Stop execution^. ¦ +----------+---------------------------------+ While actually playing the game... +----------+---------------------------------+ | Key | Description | +----------+---------------------------------+ ¦ Left ¦ Move left. ¦ ¦ Right ¦ Move right. ¦ ¦ 2nd ¦ Shoot.~ ¦ ¦ Mode ¦ Pause. ¦ ¦ Del ¦ Quit. ¦ ¦ On ¦ Stop execution^. ¦ +----------+---------------------------------+ When the game is paused... +----------+---------------------------------+ | Key | Description | +----------+---------------------------------+ ¦ 2nd Up ¦ Darken the contrast. ¦ ¦ 2nd Down ¦ Lighten the contrast. ¦ ¦ Enter ¦ Continue playing. ¦ ¦ On ¦ Stop execution^. ¦ +----------+---------------------------------+ ^ If you press ON then you stoped the game perminently and you will not be able to continue where you left off. Press ENTER twice to start the game over ~ Notice that when you're playing the game, at the top of the screen, just to the left of where it says a number` you'll see a box. Everytime you shoot this box will dissapear temporarily. When you see it appear again than you'll be able to shoot. You can only shoot when the box is visable. ` This number tells you how many enimies you have to defeat before you face the next boss. But because this is only a demo, there are no bosses. The number will just go back to nine everytime. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Notice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Notice! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Acknowledgements ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First of all, I would like to thank the public. Why? Because that's why I made this program. Thanks guys! I would also like to thank the Texas Instruments® Corporation because they created the TI-82, which is what this program is all about. I used it to create the program, test the program, and most of all, it's what the program is made for. Thanks!
