Viewed best with a uniform font (Windows(R) Notepad OK; TERMINAL works best) GFM-82--Gram Formula Mass Description ----------- I got the idea to write this from Dan Eble, the original author of GFM for the TI-85. I decided to write the equivalent to his program for the TI-82. My version has support for two more characters in the Formula String, prints the total on the next line, gets rid of leading zeros, and supports the [2nd] key press for exclusive use in my version. Despite the additions, my program is smaller than Dan's! I understand that the 85 assembly has to include extra stuff concerning the PROGRAM_ADDR, but his version, I believe, could have been shortened. It otherwise includes every aspect of the TI-85 version, down to the two-decimal element data up to and including Uranium (U). Later versions may include more elements. I am currently working on a version for the TI-85, but it's not done yet. How to Use the Program ---------------------- Key What it represents What displays on the to the user or prog calculator screen -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [MATH]..[2] Alpha Characters Uppercase Characters [ALPHA]-[MATH]..[2] Alpha Characters Lowercase Characters [Y=]..[GRAPH] Subscript Numbers '1'..'5' [2nd]-[Y=]..[GRAPH] Subscript Numbers '6'..'9', '0' Left Arrow Backspace [(-)] Negative Symbol Prints next possible parenthesis [ENTER] Process String Total on next line [MODE] Quit Quits to Assembly Shell Rule 1: The subscripts must be less than or equal to 255, otherwise it will return the difference of your number and 256 (i.e. 259 => 259-256 = 003 or 3) Compatibility ------------- The program works on ROM versions 17-19 and has not been tested on any others. The program has been written for ASH 3.0 and will run on CrASH. OS82 users, e-mail me to request an OS82 version. Bugs ---- None known to date. Chris Hucik kit_hucik@geocities.com
