it's available on all silent-linking calcs.
it uses the standard protocol, command id is $87 and there is no checksum
sent
keys are sent with _getkey (or whatever the equiv 89 function is) codes,
and the key code is always 2 bytes

the calc will respond with an ack packet
if there's an error it will follow this with a 3 byte error packet, which
you must acknowledge (if you don't it causes a link error, for which it
sends another 3 byte packet, which it also expects you to acknowledge,
etc..)
