I know of a company who dreamed of computers in the year 2040... Steve Jobs.
If you want to know why the date-on-no-battery for some early PPCs is 2040,
check a biography. :)
They will survive past 2040, but interesting the same.
My BSD server has been running on the year (well one of the servers) 2009
for some time now. I just fixed it.
