I hate even looking at those things. Plus, no floppy unless you go and
get a USB one? That really blows.

Well, the powerPC will have altivec instructions that will blow away the
quickly throw together KMI imnstructions. KMI was made because intel
wanted to match 3dnow! with something of their own. I will give the
PowerPC that much credit. Its a nice proc, its just too bad that MacOS
sucks ass, unless its been majorly improved since 7.6. I hate user friend
OS's, and I hate that I can't lean back in my chair with a keyboard and
control my box. Thats what I do like about windows, you can control the
OS without a mouse. I almost got a PowerPC not too long ago, but I like
to have a Windows 95/98(not NT, I know 4.0 runs on PPC) for the few times
a year I play games. 99% of the time my machine runs in linux, and soon
BeOS. I know both of these OS's run on PPC but having windows around for
games is about its only use, along with a nice fast 3d card. I haven't
seen a 3d card for the PPC platform that can touch a nvidia tnt2 or matrox
g400 MAX.
