RE: TI-H: Radio switch
Yeah.. the phone company that we're with (Ameritech) has it so you pay
$49.99 a month, no charge for the card, $150 installation, and you get free
unlimited internet from their internet service. Which is ok, since the ISP
I'm with now doesn't support anything over ISDN...
I also did some checking, and they're limiting the downstream to 1.0 mbit,
and the up to 512k... but, hey, that's better than any 56k!!!

Isn't that cool? I'm having one put in by next Wednesday by Bellsouth. Cost
$300
to install (200 for the adsl card and 99 for the installation) and it's $60
a
month unlimited. Unfortunately they'll only give you a 1.5Mbps downloads and
256kps uploads, although the lines can support up to 8Mbps upstream and 1Mps
downstream. It all depends on cable length. But heck, it's still better then
my
56.6K connect. Another nice thing about adsl is you don't need another phone
line. It piggybacks on the existing line so that you can still make phone
calls
even when your connected to the net.
