Um, if the calcs had SRAM, they wouldn't lose their data when you pull out 
the battery.  So what gives?

Embedded Linux on the calc?!?!  Where?!

ELKS is an embedded linux kernel that runs on embedded systems.  It will
run on 8088 and 8086 PCs.
