If you could post info on this, that would be great because I am still 
interested!  I know i will not use 897 motors, but 8 might seem 
limiting, so I would probably use only a few of that 897.  Will these 
extra I/O lines remove the need for the flipflops, and primaraly only 
require the PN222 resistors?
