TI-H: Clocking up...
hi people:
i've recently decided to clock up my ti86, and it rulz! (solves an 8th
order polynomial in 19s as opposed to 60s before) I just need a couple of
things cleared up in my head:
1) Why do you need to replace C13 at all? could you not just leave it out?
the stray capacitance of the circuit should amount to as much as 0.5pf
(guesstimated). DanB mentioned that someone suggested using 5 0.47pf caps
linked in series to get 0.1pf - that's just stupid (and it takes up too
much space). I just took the cap out and it seems to work just fine. If you
still think that you need a small capacitor, why not just use two lengths
of enamelled copper wire twisted together?
2) what's the actual value of C13? I think it's ~10pF. is this right? (i
broke the one that was on the calc)
thanks!
sayoonara!
