the reason i picked brass is b/c i play nearly all the brass instuments.
and yes it would be easier to make a flute playing machine. but i wouldn't
get anything out of it. i play trombone as my main instrument, so makeing
a trombone machine would be the most rewardng for me.

anyways, the i have the lips pretty much woked out. thats what the
contracting wire is for. i would have a small array of the wires in a row
and controll them indepentabtly with a uC. like this:

it would sixteen wires per lip, all independantly controlled. i would
program it to change ombichure (sp?) accordingly. it would probably be
programmed like the animatronics are programmed. thats why i asked about
it contracting different lenghts by different voltages.
