Yeah, I'd just love moving my mouse one mickey and having it jump four
inches
from the left of one monitor onto the right of another one sitting next
to it.
Must make desktop use really fluid. How about surfing the web and having
4 inches of plastic splitting up a jpeg?

Why not just use virtual screens like X?
