I'm not sure if I posted this already or not during the computer "holy
war" so if I did forgive me.

Does National Semiconductor offer free samples of the LM75CIM-5 chips or
do you have to order them and pay for them?
And what's this free demo board and LM75 software that uses the parallel
port?
