TI-H: I NEED SOME HELP! I SCREWED UP MY 85!

Greetings TI-Hardware subscribers,
A couple of days ago I attempted to turbo my TI-85. I didn't
have a soldiering iron so I popped the C9 off with a mini screw driver.
Sure enough the C9 came off nice and neatly leaving two metal contacts
for cap replacement. However I accidently hit the screen cable that
connects the calculator board with the screen board. As a result my
screen was blank whenever I turn on the calc. I tried to bridge the
contacts with masking tape and aluminum foil. It kind of worked and then
the tape gave out. So then I figured that I could solder some wire to
the four broken contacts. That was a nightmare! The solder was balling
up in large clumps and wasn't sticking to the metal contacts. I went
back to the tape and foil idea with scotch tape. Once again it worked a
little bit and then it gave out. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can
bridge the contacts? They are about a milimeter thick with about a
milimeter of spacing. BTW: Sending it back toTI isn'tan option, A: the
case and innerds are clearly modified B: It is a reconditioned calc to
begin with. I need to get the screen working! I implemented my turbo
switch with 4 speed setting and all that is wrong with that damn thing is
that 4 screen contacts aren't connected! PLEASE HELP ME! - Mike
