TI-H: Some ideas for the Expander Drives
I've had some questions about how to make the TI's recognize the drives
as regular ram. I beleive a start to all the expander stuff would to get
a half-hit job done. First, you don't need it to recognize as normal
ram. I've seen so much control over the link ports, you can play wave
files. But still, it would be a bit complex. You need a 4$ Z80, can get
from lots of places, a cheap EEPROM, UART, bit of ram, etc. When you go
to run a program, you send something out the link port saying to get
program whatever. Then you clear the program area of the ram, except the
shell. Then the device sends back the program, which is loaded into the
calc's ram in the program area. Then it's execed. Just need that circut,
and a modified shell.............
