I might be able to help you, since i'm already working on something
like that (only with an avr) But at the moment i haven't written any
source yet and i won't for say a week because a few other projects
came up (my cd player went dead, etc.) I do have figured everything
out now. Also to anyone who is interested in the METER project, I will
continue work at it, but only when some other things are done (like my
cd-player.) Just wait and see.
