I think everyone is confused about windows crashes. When you have what seems
to be a OS crash that causes the need to restart, that is the GUI crashing.
IF you edit your MS-DOS.sys so that the GUI doesn't load you will just get a
dos prompt, that is when your operating system loads. Anyone can write a
simple GUI to go in place of the win95 or 98 screen. As far as macs go, I
don't know much about them, but the G3 is a great processor. Now if only you
could have more than one button and some great software, the G3 would make a
great computer. (can't you run win98 or NT4 on PPCs?)
