Schools buy Macs so they can lock you out of
everything (i.e. No games from home, no fun, etc.).
They also buy them because more educational programs
are made for them, I think (I'm not one to stroll
down the edutainment/educational aisle). For the most
part they believe Macs are easier to learn (a
decision made back in the early days of windows when
DOS was still king), but now buy them just for
compatibility with the older computers.
